JUNIOR MUSIC PROGRAM (for 3 1/2 to 5-years olds)
Children have vast potential - your little boy or girl could be tomorrow's scientist, doctor or even President! Now is the time to develop all-round potential and build a child's physical, social and mental skills. This is to take advantage of the rapid biological changes that are at play during this phase of life. According to Nature's time table of learning, a child starts making rapid progress in hearing skills at age 3 1/2, with the development of finger muscles following soon after. These golden years form the best time to start learning music.
At Yamaha Music School we offer a structured and comprehensive 8-9 year Yamaha Junior Music Programme. Your child's talents and abilities will be maximised throughout the course and recognised certificates will be awarded through the stages of his/her achievements.
There is also a fast-track course (JSAC) for children with greater potential, to keep up with their faster pace of learning. At the age of 11 or 12, many JSAC students will have acquired strong musicianship skills, techniques and they are ready to compose songs spontaneously This special group of students will be identified through an audition after completion of the Junior Music Course
